Hunger

Not,one, twice, thrice or hundred times that we have heard of hunger in our country Kenya,it keeps happening every year.Yet the backbone of our economy  is agriculture.Cant we for once support our small scale farmers so that we can have more produce? Help the market their produce and empower them to do upgraded farming?cant we afford to come up wit all the ways of preserving our farm produce? If you think of this, then we should never call it an emergency because we should always know when it is bound to happen be ready we all what is needed to face it head on.It is unfortunate that when people are dying in North Eastern, some parts of this country have bumper harvest for cabbages, peas and potatoes. One is left wondering what are the relevant authorities doing to make sure where there is food enough is preserved for the dry seasons and where there no harvests and poor young children are malnutrated  to death and the old die on the roadside as they trek long distances looking for food will not be caught in the same when it happens next season? Someone some where is sitting on the job,Some one somewhere must and should do some thing now! not any other time bu now!now!.
